The Hermitage of La Soledad is one of the devotional spaces most closely linked to the local identity of Cózar. It is a simple, modestly scaled building, associated with the town's patron saint and the daily care of its residents. Its exterior reflects a very recognizable vernacular architecture: whitewashed walls, a prominent base, and brickwork decoration that organizes the façade without overwhelming it.

The building has a single rectangular nave and is a recent construction, although it has been suggested that it was built on the foundations of an earlier structure. The main entrance is framed by a brick arch, accompanied by a cross made of the same material. On the lower left side of the facade, a stone block with a carved cross pattée stands out—a detail worth taking a closer look at during your visit.

The hermitage maintains a direct connection with the popular celebrations of Cózar. During the May Crosses festivities, the locals decorate it, reinforcing its role as a place of gathering, devotion, and shared memory. A visit to the hermitage can be included in a short tour of the municipality's religious and traditional heritage, linking it to the Hermitage of Christ of the True Cross, the Church of Saint Vincent Martyr, and other features of the surrounding countryside.
