The viewpoints of Alhambra offer a unique perspective on the town, revealing one of its key features: its vantage point. The town center sits atop a long-standing historical site, linked to the ancient city of Laminium and shaped by the topography, which has dictated the irregular layout of its streets, the arrangement of its buildings, and its visual connection to the surrounding landscape. From these elevated vantage points, the town appears as a natural balcony overlooking the Campo de Montiel region.

Among the most interesting spots are the Gorgotija viewpoints, the castle, and the Cancana Cave. Each offers a distinct perspective of the landscape: the whitewashed houses nestled into the terrain, the castle hill as a historical landmark, the rolling hills, the cultivated fields, and the mosaic of colors that characterizes this part of the region. The castle, perched atop an 806-meter-high promontory, reinforces this sense of visual dominance, with a strategic position that underscores the importance of Alhambra as a place of passage, control, and settlement since antiquity.
