The robed figures of the Alhambra constitute one of the most unique testimonies of Roman past from the Campo de Montiel.

They are located in the current Plaza de España, in the very heart of the town, where they form part of a small exhibition space conceived in the manner of a Roman temple.

These sculptures and altars are reminiscent of ancient times. This continuity reinforces the historical value of the site, demonstrating how the monumental memory of the place remained alive throughout the centuries, from Antiquity to the later development of the town center.

In the space where they are preserved today, one can contemplate a statue of a Roman toga-wearing man placed on a white marble altar, another incomplete female sculpture and three altars with Latin inscriptions. More than isolated pieces, they form a small archaeological ensemble of great visual force, capable of evoking the ancient monumental character of the Roman city.
